The new year is coming Notion lovers 🎉

Here is a checklist of good practices to start the year with your Notion space clean and ready for new challenges.

✅ Cleansing 🧼

Take a look at your projects, tasks, and areas of your Notion. If you have a tag/status system, mark those that you won't need in the new year as Archived. Set up your filters so that archived items don't appear in your setup.
If you don't have a specific system, create a page named "Archived" or "Box". Drag all content that you won't need in the new year to that page to clean your dashboards without erasing pages.
Take a look at your databases and clean up any unused properties. With Notion's new updates, you may be able to eliminate or improve some of them.

✅ Organizing 📦

Organize your sidebar to make information accessible. Take advantage of Teamspaces to create a new setup.
Start using Favorites. This option will bring your favorite Notion pages to the top of your sidebar for quick access. Mark your favorite pages with the star in the top-right corner of each page to add them to your favorites.
Choose a new system. There are several organization systems that one can use in Notion. This year you can choose to use a Life OS style format (See this Life OS template in SPANISH) or a more productivity-focused system (See the Day-2-Day Notion Template that combines PARA & GTD)

✅ Planning 💪

Setting goals: If you have a goal-setting section in Notion, take this time to reflect on what you achieved last year and prepare for the next one. Use filters and database views to organize your goals by year. You can also check if you can update your setup with the new progress bars.
Consider what matters most to you this year and add a special page for it to your main dashboard. Perhaps you want to take better care of yourself, start a new business, manage finances better, finally set up your home as an Airbnb, or make your business partnerships more meaningful.
Take a quick look at filters that include 2022 within them. Prepare your dashboard with new 2023 views.
